Everybody has an opinion. But not everybody has the experience and knowledge and the ones that do have it are not necessarily the experts. They may have a lot of experience working fighters in the gym or the corner of a fight. But the chosen few bring that guy from a green 3-round amateur fighter to a 4-round club fighter to a 12-round World-Beater and/or Champion. In this world, there are 3 types of fighters. They evolved like so: Metaphorically speaking, you have your "Dogs", you have your "Donkeys", then you have your "Thoroughbreds". I guess you can sum up my career as somewhere along the line a Donkey and a thoroughbred, mated. This doesn’t mean you have to be a Gold Medalist from the Olympics looking to turn pro, then after 15 straight wins get a world title. The realistic time span for this would be with an amateur career, and pro, 5 to 8 years depending on age... Some guys start very late in the game.. A time span is not carved in stone. Everyman and or women is different. All you must be is an ordinary individual, man or woman, from any walk of life, with that natural instinct to experience and accomplish; to achieve or win.
The toughest battle and/or toughest fight is the one we all have, and we all hate: the one against ourselves. You vs. you. To attain that victory over ourselves, there is a technique. Boxing is one of the paths you can use to attain mastery over yourself and your world, with this technique.
You have to train your body, mind and spirit to attain the ultimate victory. Show me a book, a “How To” book, that trains you mentally, physically, and spiritually.
